Today in room 11 we had a lovely girl called Sophie come into our class. While she was on holiday here in New Zealand the Iceland volcano erupted and covered Europe with ash. The planes couldn’t get in or out of the airport. So that meant she was stuck here and came for a day at Plimmerton School to see what it was like at schools over here in New Zealand. Sophie is 11 years old and lives in Guildford England. She has 1 older sister called Freya and 2 pets Freckles the hamster and Shadow the cat. Sophie goes to Holy Trinity School in each class there is 32 people. She plays lots of sports, netball, basketball, hockey, football, squash, tennis, rugby and dancing. Sophie’s favourite subjects at school are art and cooking. We think the whole of room 11 really enjoyed Sophie come into our class for the day. We really hope she enjoyed her time in New Zealand and we wish that we can keep in touch.
